All of us at Banks and Jones would like to congratulate T. Scott Jones for obtaining an AV Preeminent® rating! The Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ system is among the most-respected objective ratings programs for legal excellence, and is typically considered the gold standard when it comes to recognizing attorneys for their work and dedication. Unlike other ratings services, this one must be initiated by the attorneys themselves, which means only those lawyers who have earned the respect of their peers are eligible for consideration.
Once the attorney has submitted his or her request to be reviewed, Martindale-Hubbell will survey the attorney’s peers about his or her performance in five different categories:
- Legal Knowledge
- Analytical Capabilities
- Judgment
- Communication Ability
- Legal Experience
Additional feedback from the peer reviewers is mandatory, or the attorney’s application will not go through.
It is important to note that this service is offered free of charge by Martindale-Hubbell. An attorney cannot buy his or her way into better peer reviews, nor does the company provide any input into the reviewing process.
Once an attorney has earned enough reviews, he or she will qualify for one of three distinctions:
- AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
- Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
- Notable: This rating indicates that the lawyer has been recognized by a large number of their peers for strong ethical standards.
- Scott Jones has earned his AV Preeminent rating. Over the years, he has proven time and time again that his goal is to provide honest counsel and guidance to any client who walks in his door. His aggressive, no-nonsense approach to the law makes me a formidable legal opponent, and he has earned the respect of his peers, his clients and the judiciary for his commitment to his clients.
Congratulations, T. Scott, on achieving an AV rating. You certainly deserve it. T. Scott 2 win!
