Chad M. Taylor
Chad is a dedicated and skilled attorney with a strong focus on personal injury, civil and criminal litigation. Admitted to both the Tennessee and Florida Bars, he brings extensive experience from his work as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifth Judicial District, where he prosecuted a range of misdemeanor and felony cases. With a deep understanding of courtroom advocacy, Chad has successfully handled trials, preliminary hearings, motion arguments, plea negotiations, and trial preparations. He leverages this extensive experience to fight for the best possible outcomes for his clients.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law with Honors, Chad concentrated his studies on Advocacy & Dispute Resolution and Business Law. He was a distinguished member of the National Trial Team, a Center for Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Mock Trial Champion, and an inductee into the Order of the Barristers. In addition to earning his J.D., Chad also holds an MBA from the Haslam College of Business, equipping him with strategic problem-solving skills essential for navigating complex legal matters.
Before pursuing a career in law, Chad served eight years in the United States Coast Guard, stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutters JARVIS and MORGENTHAU as well as at Base Miami Beach and Air Station Clearwater. During his service, he gained extensive experience in federal law enforcement, procurement, financial budgeting, and property/inventory management—skills that continue to shape his disciplined approach to the legal field.
Beyond the courtroom, Chad is an avid supporter of THE Florida State University Seminoles football, often traveling to games across the country. In his free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, officiating soccer matches, hiking, and staying involved in local community initiatives.
